You NEED This

For some reason I often feel the need for a little retail therapy at the end of a long work week. While most of my purchases may be considered frivolous, there are some things that are actually justifiable.

There are things that you buy because you want them, but it's so much easier to justify when you can make the argument that you need them. I've tried to justify a shoe purchase to my hubby by saying, "I know I have several shoes, but I need some wedges in coral too!" - let's just say he wasn't buying what I was selling. So for those of you who can't resist a little swipe of the credit card every once in awhile, here are some thing you absolutely need.

For mamas like me who are trying to get a little tighter, but feel a little self conscious in those spandex leggings and tops, you NEED THIS:

Why do you need this?

It's loose-fitting in all the right places, giving you a slimmer look and covering those "trouble spots". I also find that it gives enough support for your lady lumps, and allows your body to move and breathe with ease. I have the one in the pic above, but they come in a dozen colours/designs. A little pricey, but totally worth the purchase.

For those of you who are struggling with potty-train resistant toddlers, you NEED THIS:

Why do you need this?

I was fed up with the plastic seat that I had resting beside my toilet - it was cracked, ugly, and a huge pain to place on the seat, and remove on every single potty attempt. My children both refused to use one of those little kid potties, so I didn't think I had any other option. Until recently.

I was visiting a friend, and when I went to visit the ladies room, I was more than a little excited to see her toilet seat (yes, I just said I was excited about a toilet seat, that's what happens when you have a potty-training toddler). I needed to get one for my house.

The smaller seat fits perfectly into the lid, held by a secure magnet for easy toddler use. It also looks a lot nicer than the cracked off-white pee-stained seat I used to have resting on the floor.

So there you have it. Now go shopping! You can thank me later.

How about you? Have you recently purchased anything that you think I need? I'm feeling a little shoppy myself now...

  2. I'm a firm believer in retail therapy!
I miss retail therapy. one income and retail therapy do not co-exist with any east at all. I cannot remember the last time I bought something for myself, whether I needed it or not. BUT, I have that blog conference coming up! Mama needs new shoes! And a dress. for realz!
