Quotable Bits #21

"Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. And all you can do is go where they can find you."
- Winnie The Pooh

When I was younger I was obsessed with writing. I wrote about heartache, about insecurities, about feeling lonely in the wild and crazy world of adolescence. My creativity was fueled by the desire to have what I didn't have, and to do things that I had not done. I was constantly searching for inspiration, and feeling uninspired.

I'm older now. I'm secure, my heart is full, and I'm surrounded by so many wonderful people. And my creativity? It's back. But this time it's fueled by moments like this:

And this:

Days of serenity with the two little beings who fill my heart with so much love:

Whose smiles melt me like an ice cream treat on a hot summer's day.

And whose sense of adventure, boundless energy, and playful imagination keep me young.

I no longer search for inspiration.
I find the right places, and inspiration finds me.
