Mother Goose's original nursery rhyme by the same name is a classic. It's sweet, and memorable, and a great way to teach children the days of the week. But let me tell you how Monday's child really is in my hive.
Monday's child is red in the face
Tuesday's child moves at a snail's pace
Wednesday's child will not take a bite
Thursday's child puts up a good fight
Friday's child is active and fun
Saturday's child's adventure is never done
And the child on Sunday is ready for rest
Which is why Sunday's child is the one I love best
But really I love them in all their splendor - red faces, slow paces, and all.
Linking up with Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop - meme: write a poem about a day of the week.
I love it!! And the one about not taking a bite...drives me crazy! Just last night I was telling my husband how the kids were asking if they had to eat dinner because I admitted that I just made it up and didn't use a recipe. There is such confidence in my ability to cook that they were all surprised when it tasted good.
ReplyDeleteClever! And great pics. We really love them every day, huh? Just more when they're sleeping ;) LOL
