My initial reaction was to call in sick, pull my covers over my head, and hibernate until the sun made its glorious appearance once more. I usually love a little winter sprinkling of powder, but it's the last day of February, and I'm done with it.
I need to feel the heat on my face. I need to pepper my wardrobe with various shades of yellow, and tint my lips with bright shades of coral lip gloss. I need to wear peek-a-boo wedges and white skinnies. I need to rush home from work, collect my family, and rush to the beach for a sunset picnic dinner. I need weekends full of tubing, bbqs, ice cold beer - surrounded by friends and giggling children splashing through sprinklers.
I need a whole lotta THIS:
Spring is just around the corner, right?

we are all feeling the same way this week! I am out to shovel my driveway....again. And it will likely not be the last time today.
ReplyDeleteI almost want to go out in swimsuit and flippers just to make my protest really known to Mother Nature.
We didn't get any snow this year, so I'm actually missing it a little. (Crazy, I know!) I think that's the good thing about seasons- by the time you're sick of one, the next one rolls around. :)
ReplyDeleteYa, I did the same prompt today. Clearly we are all feeling we've had enough. I'm tired of the snow too (a little more of over here)! Sigh.
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone up North is ready for Spring. Having been where you are, I can totally commiserate. I'm so lucky to be where I am and have year-round warmth and sunshine most days. Hang in there. I'll send some sunshine up to you. :)
ReplyDeleteLove those pictures...give me a boat and a nice lake and I'll take spring back too!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late to the party, but MAN, do you I feel you, lady!
