Quotable Bits #8

Happy (almost) Tuesday everyone! This is week #8 of my little linkup, and I've really been enjoying your posts so far! A big WELCOME to the newcomers, and hopefully we'll have some more newbies join in on the fun as we move through the weeks. When I started this linkup I was worried that I'd run out of quotes, but don't you worry my quotable friends, I have a whole stash of goodies to share with you (with a little thanks to my newly-found Pinterest addiction)!

So on to my quote for this week. I tend to get envious of others - "I wish I had her hair", or "I'd die for legs like hers", or "If only I could cook something like that for my kids". I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I often wish I could walk a day in someone else's shoes. My quote for this week is a reminder to focus on yourself, "water your grass" instead of feeling envious of what others have.

Now it's your turn! Grab my button, pick a quote, post, and link up with us!

  4. So very true. And nobody's grass is ever quite the same as anyone else's. That's the beauty of humanity.

  5. Love, love, LOVE that quote! :) We always think someone else is luckier, more fortunate, and whatever else we can think of then us... but the reality is that we can be that to! We just need to believe in ourselves and nurture our own individuality.

  7. That's a great quote, and very true. We often think the grass is greener elsewhere, but it really isn't.

  12. I leave the grass for hubby....I am much more content to lounge in a chair with some sweet tea and a good book while he toils and sweats. LOL
But a good reminder to us all nonetheless.
